Hey All, I was in a major storm with sirens going off and we had to run to the shelter at KOA in Sioux Falls SD. When it was safe we went back to our 10.0 and it started to hail and the rain was just pouring. And guess what, NO LEAKS at all. It rained hard from 11PM till 5 the next morning. It was a scary night for sure. There were over a hundred of us in the shelter.
This was the new tent that Livinlite replaced for me because the last one would leak all the time, every time.

Ron
We have been in Sioux Falls twice, and in 2010 there was a scary storm, but no tornado sirens. The fact that your replacement tent was tight in a whacking storm is very encouraging! There are still folks out there howling mad about leaking tents, and that should not be! I have long lost count of the number of terrible storms Rosie has survived: cloudburst rain; wind in up to 60 mph gusts that I was sure would take her over (but didn't); hail; lightning, and through it all she has suffered no damage and never, ever leaked, except for the very first storm when she was a "day old" and Mother soaked her to swell the threads in the seams. She leaked a quarter-cup of water on the spare bed and never leaked again. Because of many, many complaints about leaking tents, I worried about what would happen when her tent finally gives out and has to be replaced, but I think they've got a good tent supplier again. :)
Hi Chuck, I am really happy about the new tent I got from LL but it took long enough and enough complaining but all is well. I have done a lot of work on mine since I got it. I know what I have now and I am very happy with it.

[p]Who is the manufacturer of the tent that you have? We purchased a 2014 8.1 that also had leaking issues - finally got a replacement tent from LL. Have had a few minor leaks at the bed ends but nothing like the leaks on the original tent - leaked from every seam and that was not under a heavy rain, just a constant 12 hours of light rain. Issue that I am having now is that the 12 volt light / fans will not work when not connected to shore power and I am not sure what the issue may be . . . . any suggestions? [/p]
Try checking all fuses.
All my electric stopped working from the battery but shore power is OK. Mine has 6 fuses. I'm sure they all did not go bad. My battery is fully charged. Maybe it is just the elec box. Still under warranty but I hate to make that 200 mile trip to where I bought it.

My tag for the new tent is not by the door, it was on the old one. What is the MFG of your tent?

The manufacturer of our replacement tent is Top Stitch

Ron
Lots more checking you can do before driving 200 miles.
[ol type="decimal"][li]How do you know the battery is fully charged? Specific gravity, voltmeter?[/li][li]Have you checked you battery connections?
[/li][li]Do you measure more than 13 volts at the battery when plugged in to shore power?
[/li][li]If 12V items work on shore power most of your fuses are good. The power panel typically has two high current fuses to protect against battery reversal. I don't have a QS so can't tell you where they are. Have you checked them?

I had the same problem as you last weekend. One of the 15 amp fuses had blown. I switched some 15 amp fuses and found that the bottom 15 amp fuse was the problem (it appears to operate a cooling fan on the converter). Now I have a package of 15 amp fuses in the trailer and all is good.

Thanks Rob, found one fuse that had a broken element. Wasn't burnt out - just broken. Changed the fuse and all is working now.
