(http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn197/bvabob1/th_image.jpg3_zpschjihlcv.jpg)Having a great time in Yellowstone. Will update camper in another post once we get to better internet service.
5781 miles and finally home. Will give full trip report when I sit down at my computer. Too much to type for an iPad. Had a blast though :)
Thanks for the pics, Yellowstone is always a great place to visit.
I haven't been up there since 1988, should be (planned) going through there next Summer.
[p]OK finally have time to do a trip report on Yellowstone NP.[/p][p]
[/p][p]First off it's a beautiful park and nothing I say here should discourage anyone from visiting.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The RV park itself was OK. The paved slots are tight with enough room for your TT and TV parked side by side. There is no additional parking. You have a small grassy area big enough for a picnic table but you have to bring you own as they are not provided on the site.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We had full hook-ups and no real issues with that except if you bring a 15' sewer hose you will have trouble laying it out as the sewer connection in 2-3' from where you have to position your TT and higher then normal. Fortunately we had the small crappy hose the dealer had provided us and did not have to use the longer hose. The water pressure was real high so a pressure limiter will be needed.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Laundry and showers (10 per gender and adequate) are in the main check-in building and you are limited to 2 showers per day. They give you a punch card with the amount of showers you are allowed based on the number of days you are camping.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Just outside the RV park (about 1 mile) was their ice vending machine, restaurant, store/gift shop, gas station (with propane service) and TT/TV repair shop. Everything you might need was in that area.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Mosquito's were bad so bring repellent.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Finally this is not a RV park where you sit around the campsite all day. It's a place to park your camper, sleep and then get up and go out everyday and explore the park because it is beautiful. This was our second trip in 3 years. One tent camping and this one in a TT and we had a blast this trip even more then our 1st trip.[/p][p][a href="http://s304.photobucket.com/user/bvabob1/media/thumb_IMG_1740_1024_zps9buwdira.jpg.html"]

Beautiful. I camped for 2 weeks last year. I want to go back for maybe a month. I camped in a privately owned campground
at the North gate. (Montana) I'd love to live in any of those states (MT, WY,SD) Keep CO... :-) If it weren't for the winters. Maybe summer there and winter in the South... I'd love that.

I spent over 10 years on the Florida panhandle at Fort Walton Beach (while stationed at Eglin AFB) and want to go back there. Maybe those snowbirds have the right idea.
