The factory shutdown at LivinLite meant we would not get our 14DB we ordered in time for our trip in July. Brett from Southland and Dave from D&H came to the rescue and worked together to get us our awesome little camper. Pulled it home over 400 miles through all sorts of terrain and roads in North Carolina. From two lanes up mountains to tooling down the interstate. It pulled like a charm. Our TV is a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE with the tow package. On really steep grades you max out at about 35-40mph, but it chugs along.
Now trying to figure out the best way to use the storage space for our family of three. Anybody else have the aluminum deck on the back end of their unit? Trying to figure out the best use for it. We aren't bike riders, so we don't need it for those.
Happy camping!
I would love to add a picture, but I can't figure out how to do it. :-(
Welcome to the board! It sounds like your dealer really took care of you. Enjoy your new camper!
P.S. You are in good company when it comes to being challenged by picture posting.
Congrats on the new trailer.
Have you tried downshifting on the inclines ? I know with a stalk mounted shifter that can be terrifying. Our tv's shifter is on the floor, which makes it easier to downshift with confidence (not to mention the manual shift mode which is awesome).
At the very least turn off the overdrive. Which is a good idea when towing anyway.
Welcome & congrats on the 13BHB!
