Got back yesterday evening with our brand new 2015 QS 8.1 with "blackout", "convenience" and rear deck packages.
Traveled 1000 km, round trip to pick it up and bought it without the wife ever being in one. She loves it. I love it. The kids love it and my 2009 Pontiac Vibe can tow it :)
My car is a 2.4l, 5 speed manual.
Negative:
[span style="font-size:13.3333320617676px;background-color:transparent;"]I did have to travel in rain all of the way home and needed to use a combination of down shifting and braking to slow down/stop. I will be upgrading my rotors and pads before our first trip.
[/span][span style="font-size:13.3333320617676px;background-color:transparent;"]Not really a negative, but I will need tow mirrors in hopes of seeing what is somewhat behind the trailer.
[/span][span style="font-size:13.3333320617676px;background-color:transparent;"]In city traffic, I can still use my rear view mirror. The cover billows at Hwy speed and I lose all rear view.
[/span][span style="font-size:13.3333320617676px;background-color:transparent;"]Dinette table is awful. Lower quality than what I had seen on older models.

Positive:
On most of my travel home, I forgot that the trailer was there. It pulls better than my home built, purpose built, tent-camping trailer...........despite the QS 8.1 being MUCH larger.
The kids fell in love with it immediately, as did my wife (remember she had never actually seen one).
My daughter, 11, and I set it up in the drive way in under 15 minutes.
My daughter and son (7) were able to push it around the drive way when unhitched.
Quality of delivered product.
Sales and assistance at the dealer (mostly through email).
Inside can be cleaned with a hose :)
To purchase/upgrade:
Brakes and rotors
Tow Mirrors
Awning (it stopped raining just long enough to set it up. I did notice that the rain likes to travel around the door)
The camper needs a name :)
Build new dinette table

Welcome and good looking set-up.
Hi Rob -- Welcome to the forum & the Camplite users' extended family. The all black QS8.1 looks very classy!
(Remember the song from Gino Vannelli? >> [a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m39piBT2vE"]"Black QS's look better in the shade"[/a] <<)
To your list of purchases I'd suggest considering a BAL Leveler. Mine as pictured below is one of the best pieces of kit I have for my single axle Camplite trailer. Easy to use & it does its job well:
