Having spent a lot of time in our 2012 16DB (since sold), we're seriously considering a 21BHB now that our 2 girls are older and each need their own bed/space. But being in the PNW, there aren't a lot of these rigs out here for us to look at. 

I guess this request can apply to Camplites of all sizes:

Can't offer any pictures as our camper is in storage 500 miles away from home, but I can try to answer some of your questions.

The slide does not block access to the head when pushed in. There is plenty of room to walk between it and the galley on our 16TBS with it pushed in.

Camplites have loads of storage space. It just isn't as usable as it could be as is. The modifications thread has a couple of suggestions for adding sliding trays and shelves to the boxy storage cells. Doing this will double your effective storage space.

Since you already understand the build quality of Camplites, then look hard at the layout drawings and pictures on this site and you should be able to decide to buy one sight unseen. But for the 21' models consider the towing capabilities of your TV. The 21'ers weigh much more than the 16'ers and have a much higher tongue weight. Some are reported on this site to weigh 4,500 lbs loaded with a tongue weight of 600 lbs.

I don't have any interior pictures from our 21BHS handy, but I can answer your questions (and possibly upload some pictures later).

As David stated, with the slide in, you can easily walk between the slide and the kitchen counter to get to the bathroom.  We have no problem gaining access with the slide in.

The interior is not bad at all with the trailer loaded.  The storage area under the lower bunk is great (and fairly large).  My wife uses containers that fit into the cabinet spaces to hold items in place and make organizing easy.  

We haven't used the command hooks or other accessories, but there are several people on this board who have.

Do you have any idea what the frame around the interor of the slide is made of? It seems to be a different look than the rest of the interor, so I've been wondering if it's some kind of standard/stock material or if it's manufactured by LL. Is it there to hide mechanical parts, or is it just for an aesthetic?

On my 2014 21BHS you CANNOT access the bathroom without moving the slide. They revised the slide recently to add an exterior storage compartment (that acts as a shelf inside). This makes the slide deeper overall so it fills up the entire walkway while closed. Overall I think it's a positive change because you get another exterior storage compartment, but if that's not your cup of tea I'm sure you could order it without.

The interior is very spacious though, tons of storage space. used a few command hooks for certain things, but heavier objects I screwed into the aluminum studs. There's a tips and tricks thread over in the mods section that you might want to check out for storage ideas.

Mine started peeling off (with help from the kids) so I just removed it. Underneath it's just aluminum trim. We've been sticking postcards to it from places that we travel. Here's what it looked like before we started adding postcards:

[font size="3"]My frame of reference is the 21RBS which is very similar to the 21BHS except for the bunks. Browse the LL Web site and the modification section of this forum and you should get a good idea of the interior. The 21BHS can be ordered with either the couch or the dinette. LL has been very accommodating of special mods and there are a few that must be done at the factory. I recommend you order one from the factory so you get exactly what you want for what you're about to spend. 

With the dinette option the bathroom is not easily accessible with the slide in. However, it takes less than 10 seconds to open the slide sufficiently when you stop temporarily so it's not a big hindrance.  As for Command strips, my wife believes a camper without Command strips is not a camper at all. So much so that I wish I had bought stock in 3M.  For space utilization browse the mods section here. Lots of good ideas from those actually using the camper.

We have so far used 3M command strips to hang flashlights, towel hooks, and some hooks near the door for keys. I intend sneaking in a pair of the heaviest duty ones (or does that make them twos ?) for hanging jackets.

I also used a spare command strip to mount the magnetic strip that holds a small thermometer/hygrometer - like from a cigar humidor - on the wall so we can see interior temp and humidity. We take it down in transit.

Since we use the outdoor shower to wash dishes, I am thinking of the waterproof ones they just came out with for "bath" use and trying it out to hang the hose nozzle.

Our Command Hooks are falling off the wall this winter. Maybe we didn't clean the Azdel with high enough proof alcohol when we installed them? If they don't hold up (literally) on cold walls, we won't be using any more of them because I don't want to have to replace them every year.

Excellent working theory. I'll keep an eye on ours. It never occurred to me they'd fall off except for too much weight.

[/quote]Command strips also seem pretty sensitive to application pressure and how long you let them "settle in" before hanging something on them.

I forget the specifics but you're supposed to push on them pretty hard for 30 seconds or so and leave them for a few hours before loading them up. If you just slap it on there and immediately hang a bowling ball they won't stay there very long.
