The no wood claim is not true, at least in a few cases.

My 2012 has wood under the shower and in the tip out doors...  I'm not sure about the ramp door.

I bought it specifically due to the "no wood" description.  I'm still quite happy with the purchase since there isn't much to compete with a VRV.
[div][/div]I'm considering buying a VRV 720. I've been researching and found some negative comments about the cargo door. The cargo door is made with foam board and wood and does not hold up well in contact with water. These comments were from 2011. Is this still true? I keep seeing the "not a stick of wood" claim from dealers.
Did you find out anymore information on Livin Lite's claim as it pertains to the cargo door?  We'd appreciate knowing anything you've learned about the issue.  Thanks!

i have been all through mine doing mods and havent come across any wood yet.  i have drilled holes in the outer edge of the door and there isnt any wood there.  none under the shower either.  i did make a pop-up counter that is wood, so that piece is my doing :D

I can say for absolute certain that there is wood under the shower on my 2012...

I haven't found any wood in my 2014 7X20 Bearcat either (the Bearcat basically is a VRV with a different color scheme and slightly different option packages).

Did find a few steel items susceptible to rust though - the stabilizer jacks. Mine are already a bit rusty...
those little pop down stabilizers in the front are kind of a pain.  i replaced them with a set of cheap scissor jack stabilizers (like the ones that come on the rear) from camping world.  used the same mounting points, but required a washer on each side between the mount and the inside of the jack bracket.  well worth the $70

Mine came with the scissor jacks at all four corners. It sat on the dealers lot for a while though, and I don't think they had ever been lubricated, and were already starting to rust when we brought it home. I'm keeping them well lubricated with spray lubricant in the hopes of slowing down the rust...

nice...i wish they never even bothered with the little pop down ones
