pop up gizmos

Does anyone use pop up gizmos for their tip-out bunks? I have a Camplite on order with a tip-out bunk, and I am thinking about a pop up gizmo for it.

I have them for my 6.0. They really make a difference in the heat!! Love them.

I have it for my BC16 and they do work. Keeps the additional heat out during the Day and at Night it stays warmer in the camper.
I also have the bunk inserts but won't be needing them till Fall camping.

The Gizmos are very easy to install, I went with the high wind option and was able to test it with gust of winds in the 40mph range, the Gizmo didn't move at all.

My brother had used them on his Coleman Utah. In Arizona along the Mogollon Rim at 7,000 elevation it did make a big difference.

I have it for my BC16FK, so far the outer pop up gizmo is working out great, does help in keeping the interior from heating up during a hot sunny day.
Haven't needed to try the inside Bunk liners yet, that will have to wait till the October Campout.

They made staying on the beach possible with  my quicksilver. And they were excellent to deal with while ordering. I expect they'll also buy you a couple years on your canvas since they're reflecting all that sun that would be reeking havoc on the tent.

Obadiah which quicksilver do you have? Plus, exactly how does the gizmo help on the beach? Can you keep your camper cool during the day?

Sorry I didn't see your reply until now, KY. The beach was Oceanside near San Diego and it happened to be hot with bright full sun from early to late. The AC just doesn't keep up as you probably know. With the gizmos I got what I feel was the equivalent of shade, which was enough to make the days livable with the windows open for the breeze.  I have a 10.0. With the AC and the gizmos you could nap but I would suggest either a fan to circulate the AC or a curtain or two to keep the cool air near the bed.

Basically the sun is just unrelenting. The sides of the tent not under gizmo was significantly warmer to the touch d would radiate the heat inward. I figure it was mid 70s inside despite high 90s during the day.

I'm interested in these too. I'm a daytime napper!  The AC in our 10.0 barely kept up on an 85 degree day in the mountains. I didn't think about in the cold

is that the regular, or the wind resistant? Does it interfere with your view out of the windows much?

There is only one type for the quicksilver, the high wind version. I like how it makes the camper darker inside. It doesn't effect windows at all.
