Hi,

1) I try to evaluate if my 2014 GMC 5.4L (Crew Cab) can tow that fifth wheel???

2) I can not find what is the pin weight...

Thanks

Typically you would be 15% of the GVRW.
The trailer's listed GVRW is 10000#. Look here for your trucks rating

Hopefully you will not reach that limit so will have some safety factor.

THe 5th wheel line was originally marketed as 1/2 ton towable and I think that was not BS.      I tow mine with a F250 and it's overkill.   Unless you plan on some extended hill climbing or exploring the rockies I think a 5.4 would be acceptable.     IIRC the 28RLS is supposed to be around 6500lbs with  850lbs on the pin dry.  Once again, drawing from memory, I think the 32 was around 7200 lbs.  I don't recall the pin weight, but am confident it was below 1000lbs.

Any other questions please let me know...to the best of my knowledge I'm the only active 5r on the forum.

Thanks for all the comments... I plan to trade my Camplite 28rbs by Camplite 32rls. So far I can not find any bad comments on the Camplite 32rls. Are you still recommend to buy one?

I am still happy with mine.  Tows really nice compared to my previous 16DB.  There were no 32 footers on the east coast when I got mine or I would have gone for that floorplan instead.

Just remember, the appliances and components will have the manufacterer's warranty (lippert, coleman, atwood, dometic, etc.), but there is no warrantee on the frame/structure.  I thought that a frame problem was unlikely so took the gamble to get such a bargain on the trailer.  So far no issues other than having to recaulk where the roof met the front corner due to a small leak.  The leak wouldn't have been covered anyway and was fixed with a $10 tube of Dicor lap sealant in 5 minutes.    Definitely insist the tires are replaced with new stock if it has been sitting on a lot since late 2014-early 2015 like mine was.        Think about getting the mach 2.0 quieting kit for the BR AC unit.   Mine was loud.

Thanks for the tips about the tires...It is something I will ask tomorrow :-)
I do not understand the last sentence "Think about getting the mach 2.0 quieting kit for the BR AC unit. Mine was loud."

Thanks

Thanks[/quote]yea sorry I should have explained:   The Bedroom AC unit is a coleman mach 8.0     It is known to be extremely loud from outside the trailer despite it's small size.   They originally came with an outside cooling fan made of 8 narrow blades that made most of the noise and there have been reports of some breaking fan blades further increasing the noise.   There is a 3rd party replacement kit offered by orbital machine works that quiets it down substantially and included the upgraded fan with 3 wide blades:

It's pricy at $144 or you can just get the fan replacement 3 blade fan for less.     I went for the full kit...seems to help.   Either way they have a youtube video that shows how to do it...it's pretty simple.

About 255 on my driver's license, but that's like asking a lady her real age. You have to adjust.
