just replaced both of the hengs fans in the main cabin (didn't upgrade the bathroom for fear of sucking air out of the black tank). as techie mentioned, it is a fairly easy job, but is a bit messy. getting the old butyl tape off was the worst part.  found that using a ball of it and rolling it over the butyl left on the surface worked the best.  then used rubbing alcohol to finish the clean up.

the holes definitely dont line up.  i was able to use one hole in the corner for each fan.  had to drill new holes for the rest.  rest of the install was a piece of cake.

My option to"upgrade" the main ceiling fan was to replace the push button on-off switch with a 3 position on-off-on toggle switch and insert a old heat gun element in series with one switch "on" position. Now I have a two speed fan with a nice quiet low speed that moves adequate amount of air for our 14DBS.
I had the parts and wire in my tool box so it was a "free" mod!
The heat element measured between 5 and 10 ohms, rated at 500 watts.

Great idea.

Just installed 2 Fantastic fans this morning and have a question for those of you who have done it and installed MaxxAir ven covers after. The original fans had a metal frame and installing the vent covers was piece of cake. The Fantastics fans are plastic and without taking the fan apart double layered so no room to get washer and hex nuts inside unless you mount them higher on the fan. I am sure I can figure it out but why reinvent the wheel since some of you have been through it already. Thoughts, ideas, completed solutions? Letting Dacor set-up until Sunday morning then I'll reinstall the vet covers.

You have to take the fan apart to get to the attaching bolts. I have done this on my 21rbs and on another trailer. It is easy. Take it apart, then put it together.
Happy Trails...

Thanks for the info. Thought this is what I would have to do but was not sure. Just needed confirmation. Had to return 1 of my Maxxair vents and order 2 Maxxair IIs after reading a little closer in another post. Didn't realize the high output fans needed the extra opening in the Maxxair II. I'll use the other Maxxair vent I can't return on the bathroom vent as I did not swap that fan out.

I too have the MAX  Air II on the front two vents and a smaller Camco on the bath.  The two front vents I just swapped out the innards. As far a noise goes there can be a silver lining to deafness.  If you really want to check there are a number of decibel meter apps for smartphones.

Our new Fantastic fans have a thermostat so they're keeping our camper from getting too hot sitting in the driveway without running them continuously. Had we installed these in our previously Camplite, the extra power alone may have kept the countertops from de-laminating.  Our new camper has solid surface countertops so de-lamination isn't a worry for us any longer but they still help keep the Command products stuck to the walls.  If you live in an area that occasionally hits three digits in Summer, these fans are a really good idea. The clear crystal blades are kind of pretty too.
