We recently sold our 2009 Quicksilver Camper 8.0 which we enjoyed using however we were limited to camping where access with the camper was not possible so we tent camped in those back country areas. Though we camped in a large 10x10 tent finding a suitable tent camping spot was difficult at times. We debated purchasing an off road capable camper a Quicksilver or even a Camplite but our experience with some dealers, upcoming changes to Livinlite and our own experience's we started looking at different campers. Our grandson mentioned that his best friend parents have a Jumping Jack Camper and a neighbor had recently purchased one later last year. We looked at one and purchased one ourselves and then sold our camper. Our new camper will allow us to camp the way we prefer, much like we were kids, under canvas. We will stop by and visit from time to time and we enjoyed fellow soft top campers sharing their camping experience's. Have an enjoyable and memorable 2016 camping season.

That's a pretty slick video on the JJ website: several minutes of driving through rugged terrain, enjoying coffee around the campfire and maybe three segments of three seconds each of unfolding the canvas. Makes it look trivial.

Cool camper! >> [a href="http://www.jumpingjacktrailers.com/index.php"]jumpingjacktrailers.com[/a] << aznighthiker - me thinks your going to enjoy this one big time.  :)

It is amazing how the tent just jumps up like that. I imagine there's another couple of minutes of securing things that they don't show in the video. No?

I too thought the example with the two ATV's looked top heavy. My first impression was that it looked overloaded. The tires on that one look under-inflated too -- perhaps not the best example for them to feature. Overall it is a very compelling video. Neat how it shows how you can get more use out of the trailer than just camping.

Charliem - If you had one you could ditch the tent and do a stellar beer run! 1000 lbs of beer looks entirely possible but bring a tarp because you don't want to get car-jacked.  ;)

Saw one of these in action the last time we were out camping in CA. Watched the guy set-up and tear down. Really cool. His 3 year old daughter didn't care for the camper over 2 chilly nights and cried for a couple of hours each night. We were next door so sound does travel. Was a nice set-up though.

What upcoming changes for LivinLite are you referring to in your post?

I know how urgent some questions can be when you're making a buying decision. If I read his post correctly he was referring to changes being made at LL on Camplite models. In past weeks we have seen changes to Camplite trailers, apparently to reduce cost or accommodate customer desires, including:

Wood doors on cabinets
Elimination of all aluminum interior option
Elimination of interior water heater switch
Change of tire sizes
Reduction of axle capacity and, in some cases, change to single axle instead of dual
Rubber roof instead of aluminum
Elimination of external color options
Elimination of all user requested customization

So far we have no indication of changes to the Quick Silver pop up models. The announced CL changes should not affect you.
