LED Running Lights

Our 2010 CampLite 11 has twenty #194 incandescent fixtures for running lights. Replaced a few bulbs over the years and decided to replace the #194 bulbs with LEDs. Ordered twenty one (one spare) WLED-W4-90 @ $2.59 each from Superbrightleds.com It's an easy upgrade and delivered cost was $57.38.

For colored fixtures you should use leds that are the same color. It will be brighter and more vivid. This is because your lens absorbs everything except light in the red spectrum.  Believe it or not, "white" leds mostly produce blue and yellow light (it's a blue led with a yellow phosphor coating). Both of those wavelengths will be mostly absorbed. Red LED's produce purely red light and almost all of it will pass through your lens. Another bonus: the red version is $1 less per bulb. So if Superbrightleds takes returns, I'd send them back to save $21 AND get brighter lights in the process.
