Homebrew Inside Bike Rack

Monday I spent an hour or three throwing together a bike rack from lumber and hardware I had laying around. Wanted to take our bikes with us for camping near Chattanooga.

The only purchased parts were the two fork clamps, about $15 each from Amazon.




As an aside, the "Preview" button still is not working for me using Safari on a MacBook Pr..

Great idea.

We prefer hauling our bikes in the CampLite, too!!!!!

I got the wheel holders in and mounted, painted the wood parts and put in channels for the wheels:











Pretty sure its about done now!

Just under 8 lbs.

As is, it folds up to be a tad more compact:

I could add one more wing nut and it could come apart into 3 pieces and store pretty flat, but not sure I have the need.
