Which Hitch

I was dying to type that topic. Anyway, we are buying a 28RBS and looking at Equal-i-zer hitches. I have read here that folks with them are happy and they work well with CL units. Question: Given the weight of the trailer etc. I suppose we need the 10,000 lb hitch (1,000 tongue). The cheap side of me (I know you all with have fun with that) wants to get the 6,000 lber (600 tongue), but I suppose its to close in weight limits?

[/quote][font size="3"]I'm confused as to which model you're buying. From the numbers above I thought you meant 21RBS, not 28RBS. There never was a 28RBS, but there was a 28BHS (bunkhouse) and a 28RLS (5th wheel). I have been using the 600/6000 E2 with my 21RBS and Tacoma for over two years and thousands of miles with no problems AFTER the coupler was replaced and side bolts added. The 600/6000 Equalizer should be even better, but r[/font][font size="3"]ead the thread on bent couplers to understand the issue.If you're really looking at a 28 footer I'd go with the 1000/10000 hitch.
