Clothes hanging bar installed

Hi everyone. Wanted to show you a mod that
we did today on our CL 21BHS. Since the trailer only comes with a limited amount of storage space for hanging clothes (next to the bed), we decided to install a bar for hanging clothes towards the rear of the lower bunk area. Since it's usually just my wife and I (and our dog) on trips, we use the bunk areas for storage while on the road. But when we decide to take our grandkids along, we can quicky and easily remove it. Bought both the end supports and expandable rod at Lowes. We found the rod in the bath area and it is actually a shower curtain rod. It's made of metal and is very sturdy, especially since we don't have to extend it very far. I found some very sturdy aluminum support pieces underneath the top bunk to drill and screw the end supports into. As mentioned, the rod is expandable and cranks in tight by turning the narrower end of the rod once it's extended to the proper length. It seems completely strong enough to handle what we will hang on it and it should travel very well. A very low cost mod (under $20). Have any of you done something like this already?

Hmm... This gives me an idea to add to the honey do list!

Very good idea! I can also use it to do pull ups and keep in shape will camping! NOT, but will install one for those longer trips when no kids are along.

Forgot to say it also lessens tongue weight by putting clothes in the back of the trailer while driving and then move them forward when camped.

I sincerely doubt that the clothes on that rod are going anywhere once we arrive at camp!!!
