Water tank filling when hooked up to shore water source

Hi Steve, I had a similar situation, although not because of the cold weather.  The valve in the pump went bad.  Please see my thread.

[font size="3"]Ditto on the water pump being the culprit. Most likely the internal check valve is failing. Try cycling the pump several times with the city water disconnected to try and flush any particles out. Could be sand/dirt or some junk left from the tank fabrication. That leaves the question is the pump repairable or must it be replaced? I don't think cold weather had anything to do with it if the pump didn't freeze.

Any 20 minute job can be stretched
to a week with proper planning

Ditto the above ditto on flushing the water pump. The screen on the in-line water filter just before the pump on ours had an unbelievable amount of junk in it from the water system installation. If the pump had been run at all prior to the filter installation, it may be full of stuff that clogged the check valve.
