We like the layout of the 16TBS with the slide and the twin/king bed. But a little more room would be nice so I asked LivinLite in an email if we could get the 21RBS with the twin/king bed instead of the walk around queen. I received a response from Paul Rose stating that both engineering and production said they would not be able to do this. Only the queen bed is an option. Are they no longer taking custom requests? I can't imagine that it couldn't physically be done. How hard would it be for me to remove the queen bed and install the twin/king option? Can I get some drawings of the twin/king?

I have the 16TBS that you say that you would like to duplicate the twin bed arrangement with in the 21RBS. If you are pretty handy mechanically you could just buy one with the queen bed and modify it to a twin:

Cut the queen down the middle and pull out both halves. Then with some angle aluminum and a pop rivet gun, frame out and reinforce the cut. Then flip the halves right to left so that the original finished surface is now on the inside pathway down the middle.

Looks easy to me and all of the reinforcing work will be hidden next to the outside walls.

Livin Lite is still making the transition to a new and larger building. According to previous posts from the factory reps, they say that they are unable to handle custom requests at this time, but they hope to be able to accommodate requests later, but they don't say when.
Located in Kentucky and Florida at present

That clears that up. I wish he would have just said they weren't taking custom orders right now. Would have stopped me from wondering if it were possible or not.

David[/quote]Thanks, David. Sounds easy enough. We probably won't order one until next Spring at the earliest. Maybe by then they will be back to taking custom orders.

I had a chance to visit the factory yesterday and they are not taking any custom orders for a while per Paul. Maybe sometime next year. There have been a lot of changes and when I get back to Reno and on a computer I will post pictures from my visit with some additional information. The steel frame issue is not true. The only camper they are working on with a steel frame is a travel trailer they are designing with Ford branding

[p]This is one of the mods I am considering this winter. Instead I will cut the required aisle into the existing frame, reclaim the aluminum sheet to finish off the kick panels (like I did when I created the dinette from the jackknife sofa and pedestal) and have the twins hinged at the side walls for better access. Of course have it all so we can recreate the Queen in a moment. [/p][p]

I count myself fortunate.  Custom ordered my RBS21 last November with twin beds.  At the time livinlite was doing custom requests and changing out the queen bed for the twin/king was really easy for them.  Wife and I really like the twin beds.

We were going to order a RBS21 this spring for fall delivery and wanted the twin bed custom option. I understand limiting the amount of custom options - at least temporarily - but it seems like there wouldn't be additional tooling or expense if they are already producing the twin bed option for the 16 foot model. I think it should be an available floor plan for the 21 foot model.
