Photobucket edit feature can also be used to reduce photo size, add text, and enhance photo, if needed. Use the edit feature to reduce photo size when forums require very small avatar photo size when my point & shoot camera will not reduce small enough.

Here's a Photobucket test adding text. Installed a sensor in the exhaust system today:

Flickr will show the image if you just paste the actual jpg link between img tags.

Here's what you need to extract from the link you get from the "BBCode" option:

In practice, I usually grab and paste the entire BBCode link and then strip off everything except the blue highlighted text above.

That's not quite accurate, Ammobob. Sean has recently posted a really terrific Flickr tutorial: http://livinlite.proboards.com/thread/1150/flickr-tutorial

I'm a longtime Flickr veteran so it's easy for me (I'm already used to the procedure) but Sean's tutorial looks very straightforward to me. Here's an example using what they call the BB Code:

[a href="https://flic.kr/p/tgNK2m"]
[img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5349/17900500058_147e54a730.jpg"][/a][a href="https://flic.kr/p/tgNK2m"]Grant River Camp Redux[/a] by [a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/43619751@N06/"]Chuck Haacker[/a], on Flickr

I didn't delete parts of the code as recommended by fasteddieb (above) so the picture loads as a "Medium 500 × 369," which was what I chose (I don't like to make 'em too big). If you wanna see our beloved Rosie (the Riveted)  (rofl) bigger, just click the link and you'll go straight to the Flickr page. (Yeah, we're pretty shameless as regards Rose!)

Got it now. I followed his instructions this morning on another post I started and it worked fine. Didn't have to cut and paste like Fasteddieb suggested needed to be done. Thanks for the update.

[quote timestamp="1432821121" author="@ammobob" source="/post/11623/thread"]By the way love the colors????[/quote]Thanks! We got the car before we got the trailer, but we had been salivating over a Quicksilver for some time, and when we acquired a red car (she was a year old when we got her) we knew that there could be only one color for the QS. We first called her the Little Red Wagon, but I shortened that to L.R.W., which I further shortened to LER-wee, which my wife hated (a lot) so our son suggested Rose, which we thought was pretty perfect. I went to Fast Signs and had her name made up. It was bigger than I expected (oops) but I stuck it on there anyway!  :D (rofl) Once in a blue moon we'll have somebody recognize her. Someone came up to me last year and said, "I KNEW it! I knew there could only be ONE ROSE!"  (Rosie was pretty chuffed about that!) :D (rofl)

(Rose BTW has her own extensive album on my Flickr. If anyone wants to see some if it, it's here: https://www.flickr.com/gp/43619751@N06/9woB1v  )

I cut/paste/truncate the link because I like to just post the image itself, without any extraneous code and/or links.

But in this case they do seem rather innocuous.

Anyway, good job!

Google is having their annual I/O conference as we speak. I was watching it streaming a while ago.

Lots of new stop but of interest to this thread is new Google photos. The big thing is they're offering unlimited free photo storage.

And a lot of fascinating tools for organizing your photos as well. It remains to be seen out linkable those photos will be but I for one am certainly going to check it out.

Hey folks, a quick and easy way to reduce the size of your pictures is to highlight all of them in your folder, right click and send as an email using Outlook. Outlook will then ask you if you want to send the original, medium or small sizes. Choose one (I normally try medium first) and when the draft email window pops up, you can highlight all the pictures and resale them to your PC again allowing you to use them in posts and not have to worry about your pictures being on a site you "need" to use but don't "want" to use.

Just another option :).
