Have the cabinet latches changed?

It look as if the cabinet latches have changed. The corners are rounded now and they appear to be plastic. In our 2013 16DB they were rectangular and made out of metal.

those are different than in mine (a 2013 vrv).  mine are all metal with squared corners like you mention.  looks like a cost saving move to a cheaper unit to me

This is disappointing.  I hope the new ones hold up.  We never had any trouble with the old ones.

they should last as long as the stopper is adjusted right on the back.  too much tension and i can see the arm on the inside breaking
