Hi everyone, as you may know by now the Mighty  11 is home. No TV, tho. Any specific recommendations on model or other specs to consider. It does need to be tiny just like the trailer, maybe up to 15 or 17 inches? thank you.[span][/span]

i added this one to my vrv and really like it.  added bonus is that is has a build in dvd player and can access memory cards (good for showing pictures after a day of riding).  best of all it is ac or dc, so you can run it off battery power and not have to listen to a generator (my vrv has a dc power connection right where the tv is mounted)

the picture is good (clear and bright), not as clear as a high end tv, but still good.  the viewing angle is a little limited, so i would suggest an adjustable mount

yep...that's it...except mine is the 19"

Have you chosen a location for it yet? Spending up on a set with a wide viewing angle can help eliminate a hinged mounting bracket.

Christina,

We installed a 21" fixed JVC TV with built in DVD player in our Mighty CampLite 11. Wired the TV antenna outlet into the wood counter-top. Made TV mount with scrap aluminum angle from previous projects. Use an old camera tripod & antenna purchased on Amazon. We really like this TV installation!

I would look for a tv with a 12V DC power requirement supplied by a 120V AC to 12V DC "brick". That way you can use it when not plugged in to shore power.

Go to the big box stores and look at small LCD tvs. Follow the power cord down to where they are plugged in to a power strip and look for ones with a brick. Then unplug the brick and look at the back and see if it supplies 12V DC. Most TV bricks do, but tvs with bricks are becoming rarer so you may have to look hard to find one.

Then if your trailer is like mine, there is a cigarette lighter outlet near the tv antennae outlet. Snip off the brick (I know it takes a leap of faith to do that) and wire the cord to a cigarette lighter plug and plug it in. Another way is to drill a hole near the cigarette lighter outlet, run the wire through the hole and then wire it directly to the terminals on the back side of the cigarette lighter outlet. This will leave the cigarette lighter outlet for other things.

Small- 17-21" tvs typically consume 3-4 amps DC at 12V so they can be powered for quite some time with your trailer's battery, probably two days without recharging. And if you are plugged in to shore power your converter will keep up with the DC demand just fine.

The stock TV for the BC16 was a 22", I measured it out and the 24" would do fine/with the swivel mount it is a perfect fit and can be watch from either the sofa or the foldout bed and from the kitchen as well.

Thanks everyone, for your excellent advice. I found the exact model of TV you mentioned with AC and DC power + DVD player on Amazon for about $170. since clearance between the door molding on the left and the valance over the kitchen / bedroom window on the right is exactly 19 inches, maybe the 15. 4 inch TV would be the best fit. There is an AC outlet and a DC outlet nearby in the left end of overhead cabinet that hold the built in stereo radio. Your photos were great, thuddr. You photos helped alot, too, exploringcarolina. Nice setup. David, I am hoping that this unit comes with both AC and DC plugins so I will not have to muster the courage to "clip the brick", but it's most helpful to have your detailed advice. Truly appreciated. The Mighty 11 is also greatlyreassured knowing that expert help is so close at hand. Smile!

The Axess TVs do come with separate cables for ac and dc.  the dc cable has the standard cigarette lighter plugin and the ac cord has the brick with the build in prongs for a standard ac outlet.

This is the TV sold with our 16DB. http://www.amazon.com/Supersonic-CLASS-HDTV-HDMI-INPUTS/dp/B00GTJGI84/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1431896131&sr=8-7&keywords=supersonic+tv

Good specs, poor viewing angle. Low power that we really enjoy. $114 delivered. 12v out of the box. USB port strong enough to drive Chromecast, Roku and Fire Stick TV.
