I know that if you look at the advised dry weight it's under 3500 but the real weight is always more than that plus the camping gear that you bring with you. I also think the hitch weight is a bit too high for your jeep too 345 lbs dry and your limit is probably 350lbs and I am sure your real hitch weight is more than 345.[/quote][p]Yeah, the factory dry weight is stripped, not equipped. Our 14DBS hits the scales at 3600-3800 depending on what's in the tanks. So add another, say, 200-300 for the 16.[/p][p]
[/p][p]I think by the time he gets the tongue weight up for stability he'll be exceeding the TV's max tongue weight.[/p][p]

So your 14DBS would exceed the 3500lbs limit that he have, so I imagine that the 16DB is exceeding way more than his towing capacity it's probably close to 4000lbs

Hi guys, thx for your kind advice, but I am aware that I am on the edge with my rig, but that my choice, so I travel light, no bbq, no water, no food,  my rockwood roo hits the scale at 3400 (rated 2750lb) with camping gear  and it's obvious that the camplite is lighter than my previous roo.i am going to weight the tongue next summer because I suspect that it is lighter than 345.

Not to pick a fight, but...you think it is your choice. And it would be, if there was nobody else on the road to get pulled into your crash.
