After cleaning with alcohol, perhaps try heating up both the surface area and the command strip with a blow dryer.. might help?

Don't apply adhesives to cold surfaces in cold weather, and heat does soften most adhesives.  [/font]
Any 20 minute job can be stretched
to a week with proper planning

We keep all of our bowling balls (10) on a special rack in the pass-through, so the heaviest thing we put on the Command Hooks is the cast iron dutch oven. Anyway, with the ideas gathered here so far, I'll bet we can keep new hooks on the walls next season.
