Looking for thoughts on this idea.
I'm tired of having to use a flashlight to look for something in the cupboards under the counter in my 21BHS. I'm thinking about running a couple of lights on a button switch that would turn them on when you opened a cupboard.

Has anyone done this yet? If not, any feedback on usefulness?

I figured 2 lights per level and I'd just use a simple 12v small interior trailer light like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CZCY5SE/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1435589299&sr=8-2&pi=SL75_QL70&keywords=rv+light.

I've thought about that as well. Ikea has quite a few options as well at maybe less cost http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=led+battery+lights

[font size="3"]I did this on my 21RBS. I replaced the two over bed lights with spotlights so I had two surplus OEM fixtures. I put one over each shelf under the sink/stove. Wired them into available 12V. They work great and generate a lot of wife smiles.

Fulcrum 30010-301 LED Battery-Operated Stick-On Tap Light, Silver, 3 Pack

We are considering these as a cheap alternative. Stick on, tap when you open and battery operated. Cheap and simple with no wiring. Should last since you don't go into the cabinets that much anyway. 3 for $6.99 and AAA batteries and your in it for $10-15.

i just added a light for the under-cabinet space (cubby i guess), but nor sure if that would work since you have to have a empty space behind the surface you are mounting in.

i also added a couple in the cargo area.  you could use the same approach (2" angle for the brackets) for the cupboards, but a flat surface mount would probably be an easier approach

Great feedback and options.
I'm still considering options but will share where ever I end up landing. Thanks. :)

We went with our cheap option. Works fine and for less than $12 bucks we covers the over sink cabinet, under the lower bunk bed and the storage area under the queen bed.

I put some Velcro on puck lights in the cabinets. Can take one iff and use as a flash light if needed.
