New 21RBS Owner in Calgary, AB Canada

After 20 years in our Jayco Tent Trailer we just picked up a 21RBS this past weekend. Towing it with a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer which seemed okay with it, but I would like a WD hitch for it, but that looks like it will be some work to pull off (moving the propane tanks).

Just thought I would drop in and say hi.

[font size="3"]FYI I have a 21RBS with dual propane tanks and dual batteries. The E2 WDH from Fastway, 6000/600# round bar version, fits fine without moving anything. It clamps on; no holes drilled. Works well with my 2103 Toyota Tacoma.

Hey, that looks like just the hitch I need.

According to the installation manual, you need a 24 to 27 inch bar length, but can go as low as 20 inches for a weight under 800 lbs (I measured a length of 22" to the front of the propane rack). How far back do you have the clamps on the frame, and did you encounter any issues with turning radius?

[font size="3"]My clamps are just forward of the tanks, leaving just enough clearance to allow the L-bracket to be adjusted up and down. Also allow room to clear a soft cover for the tanks if you want one. Should be well within the 20" limit. I'm not sure you could use a rigid molded tank cover. I use the soft cover; works great. No problem turning tight going forward, but any TT/TV/WDH combo will require attention when backing.
