Hello,

I stumbled onto this site today and have been enjoying all the posts. My family are owners of a Camp Lite 21BHS for the past year. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids love the bunks. We usually camp along the east coast from Florida to the Carolinas. We just got back from a trip into NY and PA. So we got to use the heater for the first time. We have had some plumbing issues due to poor winterizing, by me, but other than that it's been great to own. The 21BHS tows great behind our Tundra Crewmax.

I look forward to being a part of this community. Thank you for having me.

Mike

Great to hear from you mangodog.  I'm hoping to pick up my 16 TBS in a couple of weeks.  This forum has been a great resource for getting ready to buy.  Now that I'm about to pick it up I've really appreciated the experiences on operation - very timely comments about winterizing - I'm wondering if you could share your experience - did you leave water in a line or not use antifreeze that caused your freeze damage?

Hello Mike, Welcome to the group. I too have 21BHS and last winter I forgot to disconnect the toilet flush valve and drain. At the begining of this season after turning on the water the flush valve was cracked spraying water everywhere.  It was an easy fix to pop the valve off cut the band straps and install new valve with removeable hose clamps. A lessons learned by a new RV owner as I missed the winterizing part of the toilet valve. We have had our camper for a year now and it's really nice set up.
