[p]I am interest in LL TT's but do not live near a dealer. One question I have is on the usability of the bunk beds in the various BH models for people other than children. Can an adult use them to nap? A tall adult? A chubby adult? Etc... LL's posted floor plans and equipment lists do not indicate the dimensions of these bunks or their weight capacities. To be clear, I'm talking about the stacked bunk beds -- not the tip-outs in the hybrid models or the fold-down bunks over the dinette. These are in the BH models ranging from 16 to 28 feet. [/p][p]
[/p][p]The pictures on the LL site suggest they're somewhat small but, like a quarter berth on a sailboat, could accommodate a full-scale person. Their structure looks stout, too. Does anyone have the dimensions of these bunks and their rated weight capacity? Better yet, is anyone out there who has slept on one willing to share their experience? The information would inform our decision, both regarding whether to buy a LL and on model choice. [/p][p]
[/p][p]We would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!  [/p][p]

As far as the bunks, on my 16BHB they measure 31" x 72". I would not be too concerned about strength - they are welded aluminum and built quite robustly. The bottom bunk is held up with a welded aluminum frame resting on the aluminum floor, and the top bunk is resting on heavy aluminum angle brackets bolted to the aluminum studs on shower and outside walls.

I'm 6' @190 and have slept on top and bottom several times. My feet touch, but that doesn't bother me. Bigger than me & the issue might be hopping up to the top bunk without a ladder.

The only downside is that on my early 2012 model the mattresses are way too soft.
