2015 16DBS winterizing "water heater bypass" location

Hello all,



Getting ready to winterize for the first time and reading the manual, which states:  "bypass the water heater".



Does the 16DBS have a bypass for the water heater? I can't see one on the outside panel: there is just the anode and pressure relief valve.

Under the dinette seating is the water pump with three valves; one is 'closed' and two are in the 'open' position. Is that the bypass the manual

is referring to?



There is also a clear syphon hose that is attached to a white plastic tap which is 'closed'. I am assuming that is to be used to 'suck up' the RV antifreeze?

The answers to your questions are Correct and Correct, in that order   . To bypass the WH and winterize you must drain the WH and reverse the three valves shown; one open and two closed. Then switch the small white valve and use the clear tubing to suck in antifreeze.

Edit: Charliem beat me to it, so what he says above! ^^^

Yes, the bypass is created by turning both the hot (red) and cold (blue) valves to the closed position so that the valve handles are no longer parallel to the hoses. Then turn the one middle valve handle that connects the blue and red hose sections so that it is open (handle parallel to the hose).
