Looking for a Sway Control WD Hitch - Feedback appreciated!

[font size="3"]OK go ahead and laugh but I want a Sway Control Hitch for my tiny little camper. I know I know. Its small, 13 feet - and my TV is a Ford F250. So I realize that I don't NEED one, but I do NOT like that little beggar wobbling and bobbing around back there in the wind. Drives me mad. 

Also I feel like it's a bit rough back there as well so I would like to address that if possible.

Mine has a different sort of tongue. Its not really the typical A-Frame but more like a cargo trailer or horse trailer tongue. Its a narrow short A-Frame with a long single bar up front, about 3-4 feet long. This makes it rather difficult to fit a typical sway control WD type hitch. I have looked at the Anderson and so that might be one option but I really don't have much knowledge in this department.

Requirements: Must be able to back up without breaking or removing anything. Must have NO SWAY.
If it could smooth the ride that would be awesome.

I have a 2013 13QBB and the Anderson was my choice.  It addressed all of the issues you want.

[font size="3"]+1 on Mitch's comment. The Andersen is good on sway control and not so good on weight distribution, but you don't need that anyway. It's also one of the few hitches that adapts to your tongue configuration as I recently learned.

As a side note the only way to achieve NO SWAY is NO TRAILER. That's physics. However, sway can be controlled such that it is unnoticeable and not a problem. Also, the WDH will transfer some of the tongue weight back to the trailer axle, thus adding to axle weight and smoothing the trailer's ride. Check it out.

Can someone just walk through the whole level and tongue weight routine ? I'm surprised OP can even tell the trailer is there at this point. My bet is the thing is nose up and very low tongue weight from the description.

This is what I use, https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distribution/Blue-Ox/BXW0750.html. My TV is a 2015 Toyota tundra 5.7 and I pull a 21' and a dirt bike in the bed. I find it great for sway and WD and meets your back up removal. easy to hook up.

I have the Anderson, the price is compatible with other quality WD hitches, I bought it more for sway control then weight distribution.

We have the Andersen hitch on our Jeep Grand Cherokee and CampLite 21BHS and love it. It provides some weight distribution and we haven't experienced any sway at all in the 6 months we've had it, and we've had it out on some long trips and in high winds. But it's also important to have the trailer level with the ground, so you may have to drop the hitch down lower in order to achieve that. The Andersen hitch has the ability to drop down a little, but if you need more drop than what their standard hitch provides, Andersen may sell a hitch that drops down further than their standard one. Look around online and see what they have available.

Look around online and see what they have available.[/quote]Agree 100% with this.  We've had the Andersen hitch for over 2 1/2 years and it's been great.  Took it from Florida out to Arizona dn Utah as well as Tennessee through some windy weather.  We are very happy with how it performs and how easy it is to set up.

However, I believe they are standard shanks so others available from etrailer.com etc. should be usable. [/font]

I use an Equal-i-zer Hitch. It is both weight distributing and anti-sway. Unlike some weight distributing hitches, with an equal-i-zer you can back up with it installed.
