Only 2 more weeks until we pick up our Camplite 8.6... soooo....I've been getting my GMC Sierra 2500 ready, researching, buying & installing the required truck camper tiedowns. Ended up going with the Tork-lift frame mount system. The T-L front mounts were a no brainer....took less than an hr to install...well thought out, rugged, seem very secure.
For the rear tiedowns I thought about going with the T-L system that attaches to the aftermarket hitch which I had installed on my truck a couple of years ago. Would require a little drilling...but no big deal.
Then I started looking at other trucks around town, comparing my "name brand " aftermarket hitch, which BTW was much heavier than the orginal GMC factory hitch, to some of the other hitches folks are using, including the Tork-lift Super hitch... I was shocked!
The metal on the Super hitch is at least twice as thick as almost every other hitch I looked at...and whereas the aftermarket hitch and the original factory hitch attach to the truck frame with only 4 heavy duty bolts...the Super hitch attaches with 10 heavy duty bolts!!! Are you kidding me? Talk about bomb proof! Plus the tiedowns bolt right on. Ordered one & installed it...sorta expensive....but pretty darn easy installation. Wow!!!

I did have a slight problem with the alignment of a connecting tab on one of the rear tiedowns...sent an email off to tork-Lift to see if I could just rebend the tab and use it.
They wrote back in less than an hr...advised against it, apologized for the inconvenience, asked for my address & shipped me a replacement. Got it in less than a week.
So not only is their stuff really well built....but they have awesome customer service too!

Sorry for the unabashed plug.....I don't sell their stuff, & I don't work for them...but man am I impressed!!!

X2...pricey but all our "stuff" on TC is torklift. We leave camper on truck for about 8 months a year, easy to go camping and it's a pain unhooking all the "stuff".  It's heavy and heavy duty steel and we have no worries hooking anything up behind truck and dragging it along. Peace of mind is a good thing.
