[p]We just spend a week in Death Valley and had a great time. Camper performed perfectly and the weather was moderate. We camped at Furnace Creek RV Resort with full hook-ups for $38 a night. This included full access to the facilities and the pool which to no surprise was the only spot in Death Valley the 11 year old cared about. This was signaled by the constant "I want to go swimming" from the time we woke up to the time we actually when to the pool. Almost drove me crazy.[/p][p]
[/p][p]If you like hiking in canyons and enjoy the desert then this is a fun late fall, winter and early spring trip. Not a place to visit in the summer as temps reach 130 degrees.[/p]

Stopped by Goldfield Nevada to visit the Automobile forest-click any pic to view the Photobucket folder

We are hoping to see Death Valley during the winter of 2017 and to stay at the NP campground. Still working out details. Is the first of the year too early in winter?
