Seeking advice on water heater leak

Hey Folks,

Second weekend out in a new 2015 CL 11FK and we notice water dripping off the back of the trailer after we hook up city water.   Looks to be an issue with the hot water heater (fwiw - dual source).  If I bypass the water heater, the dripping eventually stops.  Intake and outtake fittings are dry.  Leaking is not coming from the outside panel.    Leak seems to be coming from under the water heater, but it isn't in an area that is visible. It is leaking into the area under the bench (where the water heater is installed) and then (luckily) draining to the side of the camper and then out the back, onto the ground.

Long story short I will be taking it back to the dealer next weekend, but just wondering if others have run into a similar problem and might have suggestions.

Also, the dealer indicates that I need to take it back to them for it to be covered under warranty.  Unfortunately, that is a 3.5 hour drive if traffic is good.  Any advice on convincing them that the local Camping World shop (20 minutes away) should handle the fix?

Thanks.

Tim

[font size="3"]Make sure you're not seeing water seeping from the pressure/temp relief valve. They will occasionally drip when heating. It's normal. If not that then certainly off to a dealer. Since Thor has a dealer contract with CW, LL has been very cooperative in authorizing repairs at CW.

Just wanted to follow up on the issue with the leaking water heater on my new  11FK trailer.  I got the trailer back this week.  Turns out they found a pin hole in the tank.  The water heater had to be replaced.

The good news is that LivinLite covered it all under warranty and even authorized the repairs at my local Camping World, which was much closer and more convenient than towing the trailer 3 hours to the shop at the dealership where it was purchased.   Kudos to the LivinLite Warranty support team.
