Well the subject line says it all.  My 16DB came with a big deck option.  I haven't yet figured out what I want to use it for.  Suggestions?  Pics?

My RV dealer, Sunny Island, showed me a used Camplite with a rear deck on it, to which the previous owner had attached a large - I mean LARGE - plastic locking cabinet. I asked what it was for. He told me she used it to hold her barbecue grill and some other odds and ends.

Leslie, I went through the same dealer but apparently that used unit wasn't around at the time.  I had sort of the same idea.  Maybe attach one of those contractor tool boxes like you see on pickup trucks.  So far though I haven't needed that much extra space.  Maybe that's a good thing.

Contractor tool boxes can get heavy. I have seen similar boxes made out of plastics that lock so if you got this way and weight is a concern do some internet searches and yo should find something lite that will work. Something like this;

suspect you could find larger ones too.

We don't have a Camplite, but a Quicksilver, which we got with the rear deck option that may be a lot like (or identical with) yours. Here's how I modified it:

Since I did this I still use the 18 gal totes, one for wood and the other for "dirty stuff" that I don't want in the camper. It holds the leveling blocks, jackwheel disc, anything that goes on the ground in the mud. I've since added our chairs back there, and I've switched to using bungee cords 'cuz they're quicker and easier than tying elegant knots.  :D I put our entrance rugs on top of one box. We've had the stuff back there for three seasons now. Nothing has fallen off. Running through a blinding rain the stuff gets wet but the totes are dry inside. We don't care if the chairs and rugs get soaked; they dry quickly.

Nice work Chuck.  Love the D rings.

I'm now thinking about a combo between an aluminum storage box and D rings.  Come deer season I'll fill that storage box with my bow, climber stand and accessories.

We lounge around on ours, would post pics, but not as fun as lounging around.  8-)
