Title: 2013 Outback & 2006 QS10.0 -any suggestions for tow mirrors?
Post by: hiker74 on April 20, 2015, 02:20:22 PM
Here is a photo of our 2013 Subaru Outback and 2006 Quicksilver 10.0. I practiced backing in the local high school parking lot this past weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions for good value towing mirrors that will stay on during driving and be effective?(http://s10398.storage.proboards.com/5560398/t/ld8TDo7V7TuwFZ5U_dVN.jpg)

I also tow my QS10 with a 2013 Outback. I've used 2 sets of mirrors. The first were suction cup kind  (http://www.amazon.com/Camco-25668-Convex-Tow-N-See-Mirror/dp/B00480841K/). They worked OK - not much vibration, but at high speeds, the wind pressure pushed the mirror around and it didn't stay at the right angle.  For a while, I used bungies , but it wasn't very functional and I didn't like that the suction cup blocked some of the Outbakc mirror. So I upgraded to these  http://www.amazon.com/Fit-System-3891-Universal-Trailer/dp/B001AJH1HK/. These are much more stable and the mirror angle doesn't change at highway speeds.  A bit more expensive, but not as fancy as some of the high end model tow mirrors.  I like these fit system 3891 mirrors.

This is what I use http://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-2912-Towing-Mirror/dp/B0095TC6I6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429638846&sr=8-1&keywords=grand+aero+towing+mirrors   it is a really good mirror, I had something else before that they were a strap-on type and I lost one on the highway, the Aero one are way better than the one I had before. They sell it by pair.

I just ordered a pair of them from Pep Boys. They are running 30% off on all online orders. I got the pair for $44.92 delivered to the store!
