[p]Anyone done this?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Part of my negotiation with wifey was to explore all possibilities for fitting a small sink in the bathroom. We agreed that even if the drain plumbing were to simply hover above the shower drain it would be OK. For me, no sink is OK but I need to do due diligence on this. Any ideas?[/p]
I have a 16TBS, which has the same sinkless bathroom. I thought about the problem before we bought our unit and after a summer's camping I don't see any need for it. But if you have to have one, consider a flip up sink like the one shown about half way down on this page: http://www.icondirect.com/pages/custom-oem-products
It probably would require a protruding box on the aft end of the trailer to house it, but that wouldn't be horrible. Mount it above the toilet adjacent to the shower. Plumbing could probably be fished down the wall and connected to the shower plumbing underneath the trailer.

That's an interesting design. Trying to click through for more details but it seems a custom part so not able to. Their chat is offline now so I'll try back in a while. Nice find!
We really wanted the nice sink/vanity/cabinet found in the 21RBS and only reluctantly gave up on that for a 16TBS. As a reasonable alternative, I found this "Handy Sink" from the company that makes a great sewer hose storage tube and then a diverter faucet from Camping World. I plan to mount the sink in the shower on the wall directly under the shower faucet. Then I'll replace the shower-only faucet with a diverter faucet that has the capability to both run water to a sink and to a shower (like in a bathtub). The sink sticks out from the wall only 10 inches, so it shouldn't get in the way too much. I won't use the faucet that comes on the sink. I'll attach a drain hose from the sink running to small bucket on the floor for when we use the setup as a sink instead of a shower. As an added bonus, we plan to use the sink/bucket to catch the water we have to run to get hot water to the shower, then use that water for general purpose cleaning in the shower/toilet. I have the parts in the pile of stuff to be installed as soon as the weather breaks.

Well now doggone it. Guess this can be done!
David, I had to work early to late today so no contact on the flip up sink yet. Tomorrow I'll contact them for more info. This idea looks real cool, space efficient and techie.
Merlin, this would definitely fit the bill providing the hole spacing is the same or similar to the OEM valves.. The drain pipe would already be positioned over the tub drain too. No routing of the drain pipe through the shower curtain. It also looks like it can be permanently secured to the wall. For ~$50 all in? Aces!
Mounting these sinks in the shower does make a lot of sense too. Thinking about all that shower space and the limited times it will be used. It seems like a no brainer now that you made it easy and mentioned it. Add a liquid soap dispenser to the unused faucet hole...hmmmm.
I must say that the lazy side of me was hoping for "No, can't be done.' but you guys and gals here don't say that too much, do you.
Wow, a soap dispenser! Of course! Pretty soon we'll have something useful. You know the drill......"the difficult we do in a hurry, the impossible takes a bit longer." I wish I could say this was all done and works perfectly, but the parts will be waiting in a pile on the floor for this next 0F cold spell to pass by and then some time to do it.
So, Merlin. I showed wifey the sink and she likes it. She says if you truly are THE Merlin you can conjure-up a white one to match. Sheesh, some people are hard to please, no?...heh heh heh!
Much as i like Merlin the magician, the merlin reference is to the falcon, one of my favorite birds. So, a magic white sink won't be conjured up this time. Maybe some epoxy paint? Maybe add an Oxygenics shower head to the shower to make up for the sink color? I better quit now.

Ooops, gotta go! LOL!
[p]Went to Camping world in MA today and found some diverter faucets (brass innards) on closeout for $9.99. Bought one and mounted it in 10 minutes flat. Sink is due to arrive on Weds.
The access cover revealed a horizontal aluminum cross brace perfectly positioned to mount the sink in the shower. This is an easy addition.
Camping world was close to where went camping this Fri and Sat night. Bonus.[/p]
Another sink option:http://www.rvpartscountry.com/RV-Lavatory-Corner-Sink-White10-Inch-x-10-inch.html
Please provide pictures if you do install a sink.
I sure will try. Should have it installed by the weekend just as Merlin described. with a screen birdcage attached to the shower drain strainer that is. Pics could be tough in that small space though. That corner sink could work too. The faucet would need to be relocated though, or plumbing provided to a separate faucet.
[p]So started installing the bathroom sink today as Merlin described above. Still trying to decide whether or not to mount it permanent or leave it removable.
The sink is whiter than it looks on the manufacturers site, this is a plus.
There is an aluminum cross support in the wall to mount the hanging rail to @ 29" above the tub edge. Bonus.
This height leaves quite a bit of space between the diverter faucet and the sink basin. A little low to stand in the shower and use comfortably but a perfect height to use when standing on the floor with those not so clean fingers from you know what.
Still trying to devise something to allow the drain hose from the sink to nestle down inside the tub drain while still using the tub drain too. A birdcage of sorts.
If I mount it permanent I think I'll want some sort of trim to finish off the hanging rail area of the install.[/p][p]
[/p][p]It is begging for a liquid soap dispenser.
Included some pics of the "Merlin Presto Solution". Thanks Merlin![/p][p]

Looking good! The size seems perfect. Will be watching to see how you complete the installation. The lack of a sink in the 16's forced me to look at the 21, which is bigger than I had planned on getting. Good luck; hopefully, not too many trips to the rv supply store or hardware store.

[/quote][p]Ya the 21's are real sweet. Done right in the bathroom too. They can be made much better all around. It was not even an option for what we had for ready funds. I agree we did not need the size nor could we manage it physically either.[/p][p]
[/p][p]One thing about the urban setting is Home Depot, Lowes, a small RV supply and 2 wholesale plumbing supply houses are only ten minutes away. So four hours of chasing parts ought to do it! :D
