Title: Concern about placement of waste pipe....
Post by: katienoellewis on March 25, 2014, 07:14:32 PM
We have a new Axxess Toyhauler Polaris edition that we are getting ready to take out for the first time this weekend. Upon looking over everything, we're a little concerned about the placement of the waste pipe..... It is really low to the ground. It seems like it would be hit by any bump/rock we may encounter.  Is this the way it looks on all Livin' Lite products? Is this normal for a toyhauler?

They do sit pretty low. Considered having the offroad package installed on our trailer to gain a couple more inches but in the end decided that just being aware that it is that low and planning accordingly was a better option for us.

I was also disappointed with how low my drain fittings were, I loosened all the clamps thinking I could move the pipes up an inch or two, but they wouldn't budge.

I installed some lift kits from Perfect Casita that raised the body an additional 3 inches on my 6x15 vrv toyhauler.

The install is pretty basic.Support trailer by frame, remove wheels, unbolt axle one at a time, bolt blocks in then bolt axle to blocks.
I extended the brake wires with solder and heat shrink, that was a good time to get rid of the original quickee wire splicers.

You will need the serial number off of axle when you call Casita to tell which kit you need. On my axxess 8.5x22 it was the 11, it may be listed some where in the paper work to.

Of course this changes the lift height of your hitch ball to 3" higher...
