Show me your BBQ Grill ideas for your trailer...
I know some trailers have a pre-plumbed gas line for outdoor cooking, but not on my 16DBS.
I'm interested in the ability to mount a grill on the side of the trailer like this [a href="http://www.amazon.com/Mounted-Trailer-Motorhome-Barbeque-Hardware/dp/B005718446/ref=sr_1_86?ie=UTF8&qid=1423329439&sr=8-86&keywords=trailer+bbq+grill"]BBQ Grill[/a] from Amazon.
I would also like some ideas on routing a gas line to the main tank.
Thanks for your input,
FMB
I covet this idea, but it would require piercing the exterior wall to find a stud, which I'm unwilling to do. Seems it would be pretty simple to locate the gas line to the stove from underneath the trailer.
I'd put in a T fitting to run up to the stove, then continue on to some sort of terminal connection - a quick connect would be awesome, if you could also mount the grill so you could take it on and off if you so chose.
We have a small portable coleman that takes the small bottles. A 1# bottle and we grill all weekend. I also bought one of those adapters that lets you refill your own 1#'ers from the big tank.
Point well taken...I'll look into that as well.
The grill in the link has a frame that mounts to the trailer and the grill slides into the mount. A bit pricy for a grill, however...
I use this to connect the tank to the trailer:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NHLG6W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
with this to my grill from the T I've got plenty of length to put the grill anywhere:

I usually place my portable grill on the picnic table or on the ground way from the awning. Works for me and I don't have deal with the 1lb tanks.

[p]12' is a constraint, but it's a good solution, too.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We stick with the 1#'ers, because we carry a 2 burner coleman stove that does all out cooking, and a coleman portable grill/griddle. They both take the 1# canisters. They both have a carry bag that holds 2 canisters. Since 1 can keeps each going the whole weekend, I just wait until one is exhausted then switch. I've been replacing when I get home, but now I can recharge while on the road. The 14DBS has 2 big propane tanks that we barely made a dent in the first one last year anyway since it only fires the hot water. We use A/C power for heat.[/p][p]
[/p][p]All this will change for dry camping, but 2 full tanks will still last quite a while.[/p][p]

[/p]
I also keep a couple 1 lb canisters in case I want to take the grill somewhere else or can't reach with hose, but so far I haven't encountered a situation where 12' was not enough.
