Title: Pacific NW
Post by: dhs on March 22, 2014, 08:32:47 PM
This is out first pop-up, a 2010 Quicksilver 10.0 that I bought used from a gentleman in Bend, OR last fall.  We've been out once to Deception State Park for a night as a quick shake down.  Soon I'll be traveling for 9 days from Seattle, WA to Osoyoos, BC and Harrison Hot Springs, BC with my wife, daughter and the dog.  This will be our first trip towing with the 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (HiHy) after upgrading from a 2009 Subaru Outback turbo.  This summer we're also visiting Ebey's landing on Whidbey Island, WA, and Kalaloch Beach in the Olympic National Forest on the Pacific Ocean.  A "boys" trip is in the works, as well.

So far I have completed two major tasks on the trailer.  First, I laid down interlocking foam floor tiles throughout.  Today, I finished wiring and plumbing a Flowjet water pump and strainer.  The hand pump on the sink failed, so this was a  easy fix for boondocking. I have to replace a pair of marker lights soon, as well.

Any other PNW campers around?  Recommendations for camping, especially east of the Cascades is welcome.

High five from another PNW camper! We're up in Bellingham. Deception Pass is one of our favorite spots close by. Check out Bowman bay if you're not familiar already. It's our absolute favorite part of Deception Pass but nearly impossible to get reservations. You might also want to check out Larrabee and Silver lake. We've got plans to go to Harrison Hot Springs this summer, so please let us know what you think. We haven't done much east of the Cascades because we prefer the "green" side of the mountains.
