I WAS CRAWLING UNDER OUR 14DBS DOING WINTERIZING DUTIES AND I NOTICED THE BLACK TANK HAD SOME LETTERING MOLDED INTO THE BOTTOM. IT SAID "36 GAL". IS THIS THE REAL CAPACITY RATHER THAN THE ADVERTISED 28 GAL? ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THIS?
SORRY TOO COLD OUTSIDE TO TAKE A PICTURE!
Most likely it is 36 gal. Manufacturers sometimes substitute parts if they have run out or want to change suppliers. Be glad they went up, not down, and enjoy it. You could measure it with a 1 gallon jug.

But then he'd have 28+ gal of slightly poopy water stewing in his newly winterized camper sitting in his driveway. I say just let the mystery be.
Measure L x H x W in inches. Divide by 231 = gallons
