[/p][p]A couple questions about getting a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. The rear wall has a 16" space over the toilet perfect for a medicine cabinet. I've got a wood one that weighs about 5 lbs and my first thought was to use a bunch of large command strips - but I'm not so sure now.[/p][p]
[/p][p]I'm thinking of using some 3/4" long 1/4" self tapping screws into the adzel. Does anyone have any experience with Adzel's ability to support weight via screws? The other option would be to somehow figure out where the aluminum frame is and get screws into that - but that seems really difficult - but does anyone have experience with finding the frame?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Any suggestions on getting this mounted would be helpful. For other things such as towel bars we're still counting on command strips, but for more substantial mounts I don't trust 'em.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Thanks!

I'm working on the same idea. Must be a brilliant one. Anyway, the Adzel won't support it. I installed a better thermostat and put a couple holes for the screws in the Adzel. It's not much stronger than thick cardboard. Also, I would not sit under a fairly heavy medicine cabinet held on only by Command strips. That leaves finding the aluminum frame members. There are several mods coming up where I need to do that, so when I get a chance, I'm going to email the factory to see if they know how to find the frames. I have not looked at any type of stud finder and none may work for aluminum. As an side, the Command strips worked great for the towel racks.
[font size="3"]For something that heavy, not with command strips and not into Azdel. You'll have to find the aluminum members, of which there are many, and use #12 or bigger sheet metal screws. One way is to tap along the wall behind where the cabinet will be until you feel the solid studs. Then drill with a small drill and mark the extent of the aluminum. The framing members are 1" wide. Measure carefully. The extra holes will be hidden behind the cabinet.

I used the four Command Hooks to hold up a small wire rack with enclosed shelves by putting two at the top and two at at the bottom of the middle rack. The shelf fell when one of the hooks snapped off and the shelf hit the toilet. Luckily, the toilet was ok. We have since decided not to bring the shelf with us. We found a shower caddy that holds our soap, shampoo, and other small whatnots that is attached to the shower with suction cups. We used it on our other camper for the outside shower by attaching to the outside of the trailer. We found that this works like a charm inside this shower. As for our towels, we just keep them in one of the bins in a zip up case that originally had a bed comforter set in it. This is kept in the bin under the one twin bed. We hang them on Command Strip hooks, which are attached to the back of the shower. I have velcroed our toilet brush holder to the floor next to our toilet. The handle on the lid of the brush holder serves as a toilet paper holder. I am really sooooo tempted to try the Shube/Newline sliding shower screen that Shovelhead put in his 21RBS. I love the idea of not having the annoying shower curtain.
