Title: 3 Projects before heading South.
Post by: shovelhead on October 22, 2014, 02:50:20 PM

I have a Bates hotel phobia. So the plastic shower curtain had to go. This is a Shube / Newline sliding shower screen.
They are expensive.  This is 66X36 (Had to trim to 31 3/4")  A real piece of cake to install. The top and bottom guide rails
need trimmed to fit. The door and vertical trim attach with double sided tape. Slip top and bottom rails, and chalk.
Sorry for the lousy pix. Tight quarters and I couldn't get a good shot. $170.00 + $15 Shipping GEORGIA. 45 minute install.

Next is the Attwood power tongue jack. Another piece of cake. Remove the manual jack, with 3 bolts. Slam in the new power jack,
attach 1 (Fused hot) lead. Done ... works slick. Only complaint is it doesn't come with the manual handle just a drill adapter.
I bought a manual handle on Amazon.   30 minute install.

Lastly the Andersen WDH system. A great easy install.  I'm not done though.  I dont want to move my propane tanks nor battery,
So I have to add a link to the chains.  I would have gone to Lowes or HD but I wanted heavy duty quick links. I found what I wanted
at eTrailer.  About $5 a piece.  While I was on the web site I found a tongue weight scale on sale so I ordered that and no tax or shipping.
Install not complete but what has been done only 30 minutes.

I love the shower screen! We are currently looking for a new shower door for hour inside the house bath. We have an odd sized shower, so this may work!  I would LOVE to put one inside our LL too.  I too have an issue with shower curtains and this may just be the ticket!!

I checked out the Newline shower screen and would love to have one, but the price violates any sense of value for me, big time. Shipped to my house the size I need is $200! They are the only one I could find like this and they only sell from the factory, so that's the price. I hope another manufacturer comes up with some type of shower stall flexible curtain/screen that will give them some competition. In the meantime, a $9.95 vinyl curtain will work just fine for me.
