Has anyone converted their regular 13" tire Camplite to the off road spec?
If so what was the work involved and how much did it cost?
Thanks in advance
I am looking at both the 13 and 16' models, btw
When I visited the factory, the chassis under construction I was shown had the off-road package being installed. In order to get clearance for the large diameter wheels/tires in that package, Livinlite installs a wedge-shaped spacer between the axle and the frame. That tilts the axle away from the frame. With 2 axle trailers like the 16, the axles may have to be further apart too to get clearance between the F/R tires. I don't know if the axle is any heavier duty, but other posts on this forum indicate the tires are (BFG AT). I went with the standard wheel/tire package because the off-road package raises the center of gravity, increases the overall weight, and increases the rolling mass of the tires.
