Title: So, what do you use to clean your LL
Post by: funpilot on July 02, 2014, 08:58:48 AM
[p]Are the sides of the LL simply painted aluminum or are the swirls decals?[/p][p]Do you use something different to clean and protect the roof?[/p][p]Any special cleaning needs that we have like pressure washing the under-carriage periodically?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Speaking of pressure washing, is that a mistake on the outside of the camper?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Is there anything special to use when you get it new? [/p]

The main body is just painted aluminum and the swirls are vinyl decals. I just wash it like my car. Be extra careful washing the windows though because the plastic scratches pretty easily. The roof is bare aluminum, so I just wash it with a pole. I find that pressure washing is less effective and has more potential to damage things (seals, paint, decals), but it is definitely faster. When you get it new you could wax it, but I haven't had enough time to do that... maybe next year. The only periodic thing you'll need to do is inspect the caulking and roof seals and touch them up if necessary.
