Title: 21BHS details: 12v sockets & furnace vents
Post by: pegwillen on December 12, 2016, 11:06:51 PM
I have been studying online pics of 2016-17 models but can't see if there are any 12v sockets, and if there are heat vents...can someone inform?   Thanks

You will at least have 1 socket near the TV.    The furnace (and AC) are direct vent.   There is no ducting option in camplites.

My 2014 has just the one 12v outlet at the TV. I put a splitter there and ran a wire down to the bedside to a multi port 12v receptacle.

I have 2-conductor "pigtails" at each battery, so with an extension I can do the same thing outside. Plus we have a USB connector on the radio we keep a Lightning cable attached to.

Let me dig for photos.

Our inside setup:

As an aside, the Anker 4-way adapters allegedly are smart enough to supply the correct amount of milliamps to each device.

Our only heat vent appears to be the main one under the fridge.

The heating furnace is entirely separate from the air conditioner. It is usually mounted in a wall near the floor. It is propane fired and the flue gas vents outside. The inside hot air blows out into the unit. They are a bit noisy. Here is one similar to what is used on LLs- https://www.amazon.com/Suburban-2446ABK-Nt-20SEQ-Furnace-Black/dp/B00HSO2QL2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1481644821&sr=8-2&keywords=rv+furnace

The thermostat is usually mounted at the other end of the unit from where the furnace is and as a result the temperature is held pretty evenly, but probably not as good as your home. It is a crude mechanical thermostat, and some replace it with a battery powered electronic one.

David[/quote]Sounds like what I have in my current 16' Taylor Coach, except it is ducted, with three heat vents, I can close the one in the BR, it is too loud to run at night without earplugs!  Fortunately the weather here in Tucson allows for using only a small electric heater on the lowest setting at night.  In Maine I never have hook-ups, thus my ? about the 12v....thanks all.
