Title: Pop Up Gizmo for QS 10
Post by: shellee on December 01, 2016, 11:41:18 PM
[p]Hi All,[/p][p]
[/p][p]Thinking about getting a pop up gizmo for my QS 10 for a Christmas present. Any ideas on what size to buy and do I need the top of the line - the high wind model?  Thanks.[/p]

You can only get the one size and the high wind option for the 10.0. I like mine. Hard to put on, but once you figure out a system to do it not so bad.

Do you remember the measurements.  The sales rep from pop up gizmos is a little uneasy about selling me one without measurements and my camper is closed down for the winter. Thanks

I don't have a measurement.

The guy I bought it from has sold many gizmos for 10.0 campers. I never had to give a measurement. He already knew how to make it.  Is someone else making them?

I wonder the same.. but if you want, I can measure mine in the afternoon - or so, as its out of the camper due to a small tear that I m repairing, only if its not raining tmrw to measure.

one end tore a little the binding got disconnected from the sheet. its a rather simple repair, I think the sewing was a little too close to the edge.

i love mine, but its a pain to put on alone, you MUST have another person to assist :) (10.0 here) only issue I have is the bungee cords, I've lost the end pieces twice and you need to put some d-rings on specific areas so you can hold it down.

I have a 6.0 with a gizmo. I set it up alone usually. Maybe easier with single side. I did not give them measurements, they had sold before so were familiar with QS.

When we bought ours this year I didn't have to give any measurements just the fact that it is a QS10 and the credit card number and 5 days later it arrived at the door. As others have said it is very hard to put on by yourself especially with a breeze. But it is well worth the effort once you use it. We have noticed being able to sleep a little later due to the inside being darker.

I agree with sleeping later. That's a big plus.
