I am working to make my 11FK a little more off pavement worthy and am considering installing a pintle hitch on it. I have one on a tent trailer and love the articulation and sturdiness it provides. Thoughts?

A pintle hitch will give a lot of articulation and that is why you are considering one for off road use, right? But they really do rattle. OK for construction machinery, but I wouldn't want to hear that all day long. The standard hitch should give you plenty of articulation, particularly with no WDH.

Not to mention that if you max out the articulation on a standard ball hitch you are probably in a situation that risks tipping the trailer. The full travel trailer will be far more top heavy than the tent trailer you had been using.
Good points, thanks.
