Title: New owner of a QS 6.0
Post by: qs601956 on September 13, 2016, 06:07:49 PM
[p]We picked up our new 6.0 on Saturday.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Getting married soon and our first trip will be for our honeymoon.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We chose the off-road version with electric brakes, rear deck and of course air-conditioning.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The charcoal gray is a nice color match to  for our tow vehicle - a dark gray Subaru 2016 Forester.[/p][p]
[/p][p]C & K :)  [/p][p]

Welcome!

I have a 6.0 too. It's a huge step up from a tent.

Welcome! We have a 10.0 that we tow with our Subaru Outback. I can say the Subaru/Livin Lite combo is seriously great. We just got back from a trip near Asheville NC and every day people were walking past our campsite checking out the Livin Lite unit. Had a few people shocked that I could tow it with my outback! Enjoy!

We just got the 2017 6.0 for behind our '17 Outback as well. Love it's lightweight style & towed like a dream (we lost 2 mpg on the whole trip, but it's a brand new car so hoping that goes down as it breaks in). HOWEVER we towed it home from the dealer in Wisconsin to our home in Nebraska and about a third of the way home, the battery (box & all) decided to part company with us - fell off on a 4 lane highway and hit under the camper at 60 mph, felt like we hit a bear! It showered the entire camper (and the unsuspecting people behind us!) with debris & battery acid :( Thank GOD we didn't cause a wreck! Our beautiful aluminum underside, rear deck and back of the camper are a mess from the acid :( Ripped all the wiring off with it. The mounting apparatus wasn't strong enough to hold the box & sheared completely off and as it is Sunday, we don't quite know what to do here...

Goodness.  That sounds scary. I have no idea what one should do.  I'd probably call AAA and ask.  Or my insurance.

The wedding could not have been better. Even the best man was crying. Music is important to me. The prelude was Tuck and Patti's "Take My Breathe Away. She walked in to Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon in the Sky" we walked out to "Sign Sealed Delivered" by Stevie Wonder. Honeymoon camping trip was great as was our trip last weekend.
