[p]Got pissed off at the slider in the screen door which keeps coming out of the top track so came us with a simple little mod (wife's idea) of adding drawer pull knobs on each side. Makes it easier to open and close plus pull back into place if it pops out of track. $5 at home depot and only issue was cutting the head off 1 of the screws and threading it back out with a like threaded nut.[/p][p]

[font size="3"]Same problem and I solved it in a similar way. I used a plastic cable clamp, but attached it a bit higher on the door. Makes it easier to reinsert the slider in the track. Someday I'll replace the whole slider like I've already done with the stationary side.

Very timely post, as we are very annoyed with the slider as well. It was actually the one and only thing about our new 16DBS that we truly dislike. What were they thinking? Ammobob's drawer pull knob looks like a good solution. Charliem, would you have an image of the cable clamp? We may consider that as well if it makes it easier to reinsert the slider into the track
