Title: Screws for mounting into the aluminum frame
Post by: mitch on August 10, 2016, 11:37:59 PM
So when any of y'all (I was recently down south) mount something that requires a screw into the frame what type of screw are you using?  Is there a worry about dissimilar metals or any of that?

[font size="3"]Depending on what/where I use #8-#14 stainless steel sheet metal screws, preferable hex head. SS will not react w/aluminum so no problem there. Just be careful when tapping the first time: SS is brittle and can snap off if over torqued.
