I picked up my 6.0 about a month ago in Ohio. WOW! Very nice towing back to PA because it is so light!. I had an Aliner Scout and a Teardrop 5-wide before. I got the Quicksilver because I missed "tent camping". This puppy is very sweet...the better of both! I am learning how only one person can set it up! The first attempt to open it needed my hand winch with ropes, etc to open. I closed it with a pole and rope so now I think I can do both open with a 7" pole and rope to prevent it slamming down. Quicksilver Customer Service has been exceptional in their help!
After setting it up in the driveway I used seam sealer from both the inside and outside because the seams looked very wide. I purchased their 'Awning Package' and found I can leave it attached while folding everything up. I've been busy adding other stuff in anticipation of a "shake down" trip this week. Stay tuned!

I'm curious as to why you needed a winch and ropes to open a 6.0? I have the 10.0 and can flip the beds open by my self if needed. If you grab it along one side of the bed are you able to walk in into position or is there something I'm missing?
I agree that the seams seem a bit wide as well, but I can say that I havent seen any leaks yet despite being in several good storms. I think seam sealer is good insurance and I need to get motivated to apply it.
Hope your shake down trip went well. I'm interested to hear more about the awning. I'm still on the fence about the attached awning and if its worth the investment over a stand alone easy-up type shelter.
I just bought a Quicksilver 5.0 (2009) and I also have trouble opening it up alone. I'm 61 yrs old, female and a short 5'4".
The only way I have been able to open it alone is to put a short step ladder with the top well padded at the spot where the top will be when opened. Once I get the top up I let it "fall" on the padded ladder.
And then I have some trouble holding the top up by myself to get the supports attached, but I have been coming up with some ideas. It helps to hold the top up with my shoulder but then I can't see well enough to put the pin thru the hole of the support rod.
I would certainly appreciate any tips other than having to have a 2nd person with me all the time!
