Title: Regional Rally Trip
Post by: ammobob on July 15, 2016, 11:50:21 PM
well we started our trip. First stop Collier Memeorial State Park, Oregon. Nice park full hook-ups and right on river. Good facilities and paved roads and pads. Emily took off on her bike as soon as we got here. Nice place to visit especially if your into loggin history. Hitting Crater Lake tomorrow and moving on to Silver Falls State Park Sunday. More pics to come.

(http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn197/bvabob1/Our%20New%20Camper/Oregon%202016/image_zps9iriaxoc.jpeg)Turned out to be a great jumping off point for visiting Crater lake which ended up being a 45 minute drive. Saw a few private RV parks along the route to Crater Lake but didn't look to hot to me. Will post some Crater Lake pics when I have a better internet connection.

Nice Pics and welcome to Oregon. We have some excellent State Parks and campgrounds. Sorry to miss the rally but I am sure everyone will enjoy Fort Stevens. If anyone makes it in to Astoria the Fort George Brewery is worth a visit.

Bob, you must have gone through Sisters and past Detroit Lake. Hope you enjoyed the scenery !

If you like German food, stop at Mt. Angel. Several good places. They take Oktoberfest very seriously in that town.

Set-up at Silver Falls and out exploring. Very nice park once you are deceived by the road in. Driving through farmland wondering where in the heck they could hide a state park. 2 miles later and you end up in this beautiful park. Glad I planned it in my trip.(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160718/e57ac86c5ceb312f01d89f06198f272b.jpg)

Man you were right. Great meal in Mt. Angel. Best Ruben I have had in years and the beer was outstanding if you like Wheat beer.

[p]Our 2 week trip up North concluded with a trip to Olympia National Park. Spent 2 days in the park (no way was that enough time-should have spent a week plus but we all know how vacation schedules work) and 1 day in Seattle. Had a great time and the camper performed wonderfully. Finally made it to Lincoln City and let the wife buy her wind sculpture so she's happy and the trip went as planned. Had a great time.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Gave up on Photobucket for posting pictures so will work with Tapatalk for a while.[/p]
