I think Charlie already posted the details of his install so I won't go over it again, but I wanted to show an alternate location for the display:

That cavity above the fridge is completely empty except for the slide motor controller and wires can be fished from below fairly easily. I just tossed a washer on a string over the far edge and it fell straight through to the bottom (behind the converter). There are already a few floor grommets with spare room that you can run the sensor data wire through. While I was in there I also ran a few more wires for future expansion. This monitor is actually just temporary while I work on my fancy all-in-one touch screen monitor.
Great idea for the mount.
It's not the ideal height for a display (eye level would be better), but it's out of reach for my kids. The less buttons they can play with the better :)
[font size="3"][font face="arial"]After six months of using the SeeLevel tank monitor, preceded by a year of the internal probe type, my reaction is: Why would anyone use anything different? The black tank monitor in particular works perfectly. No more false positives. Note to other camper manufacturers!

I have a feeling that ~$200 has something to do with it... ;)
I totally agree though. I'm able to confidently hold off on dumping until I know that the black tank is sufficiently filled. The meter on our last trailer always read 2/3 for the black tank. Not being surprised when the fresh water is getting low is extremely useful as well. It was always a gamble to start a shower on low water.
I mounted my SeeLevel where the water pump and water heater switches are. It was nice and simple as I used the already drilled holes and ran the wire down the wall, through the hole where the water pump is located (and where I added a common ground) then our the same hole the water intake runs through ... gives a nice clean look and allows easy use when wondering what my levels are.
Has anyone used Horst Miracle Probes to replace the useless factory probes?? I am reading decent reviews elsewhere and they seem reasonably priced.
So I ordered a SeeLevel 709 tank monitor from AdventureRV.net and in the shipping box was just an open manila envelope of un-packaged parts that were rattling around inside the box by the time they got to my house. I have no idea if everything is there or if Garnet Industries supplies the monitor as a loose set of parts (3 tank monitor strips, installation/use manual, and wall unit without any sealed packaging). For those of you that bought/installed the SeeLevel, is that how it's supposed to come? Does it sound like I have all that I'm supposed to have? I can't find a parts list or photo of any retail packaging on-line and so far I've heard nothing from AdventureRV.

[font size="3"]I don't remember the shipping package, but it sounds like you have everything. In addition to the items you list there should be a harness with a flat connector on one end to connect to the display panel. No mounting hardware was included. There should be 3 sensor strips with wires attached. I do know there was no fancy shrink-wrapped packaging.

Thanks! I did get that harness. When I hear back from company, I'll just ask about why the small plastic package for the display was opened. I want to make sure it wasn't a defective unit return they re-shipped out.
I take it this SeeLevel 709 can be installed even w/o any stock Monitor ever installed? My New 2015 Livin Lite Bearcat BC16FK has No Monitor which really surprises me, I would think that would be a standard included item in any Livin Lite trailer that has Holding Tanks.

We're in the same boat, ours came without a monitor. I am planning to do the SeeLevel as well, just waiting for my credit card to recover from all of the spending we did in the first couple of weeks after we picked ours up (we just got ours in February).
Thanks for all the info on the SeeLevel monitors, my 14DBS didn't come with any tank monitoring either. I have ordered the 709 and it should be here today or tomorrow. I am getting ready to hit the road for 6 weeks starting the middle of May and really wanted to have something to tell me my tank levels.
[font size="3"]You guys without OEM monitors are in the best shape. You didn't pay for something you don't want. The SeeLevel 709s are very easy to install and work far better than anything else I've seen or read about. Lots of help here if you need it.

I just got and installed the 709 for my 16TBS. It came in a simple mail envelope, loose parts and the display was half-stuck into a ripped open anti-static bag. I had the same concerns of others of getting a returned unit but installed it and all is working fine at this point. I've still got to spray the rubber coating on it - waiting a couple days before I do it. I installed the display by the water heater switches and ran a new power feed from the power distribution panel. Probably took me 2 hours total install time.
OK, this is what I needed to know, Thanks.
I'll get it Ordered on Sunday and when I get back in 10 or so days from a Spring Turkey Hunt, the Kit will be here and I can get it installed.
